Important notes

  • This table is updated regularly whenever new official data becomes available.
  • The fee amount is based on each phone's reference price in the official system. These prices are reviewed periodically in coordination with the manufacturers, so the fee amount may change over time.
  • If you cannot find the iPhone model you are looking for, you can check the device's status using its IMEI number through the Telephony app.
  • The status of two devices can differ even when they are the same iPhone model, so the official check remains the final reference.
  • Since April 2026, the fees due on phones brought in from abroad can be paid in installments through valU, as announced by the Egyptian Customs Authority and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority.
  • If you would like to know how to check a device, how to pay, the grace period, or how the system works, you can refer to the guide to mobile phone fees in Egypt.

Frequently asked questions about iPhone fees and taxes

Do all iPhone devices have fees due on them?
No. The status of an iPhone cannot be determined from the model name alone, as each device is assessed individually according to its record in the official system.

How do I find out the fees on my iPhone?
First get the IMEI number by dialing *#06# or from Settings, then General, then About. Then enter it in the Telephony app or website to see the device's status and any fees due. If the phone supports two SIM cards, it may have two IMEI numbers, and both should be entered. You can also use the table on this page if your model is listed.

How much are iPhone fees in Egypt?
There is no single amount for all iPhone devices, as the fees depend on the model and on each device's reference price. The table above shows the values we have for each model, from the iPhone 13 up to the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Do fees differ between iPhone models?
Yes, fees differ between iPhone models because they are linked to each phone's reference price, and the status of two devices of the same model can also differ according to their records in the official system.

Do iPhone fees drop after a new model is released?
They can. In September 2026, the head of the Egyptian Customs Authority explained that phones' reference prices are reviewed periodically in coordination with the manufacturers, and that a lower price for a model, which often happens after a newer model is launched, may be reflected in the fees due on it. We therefore always recommend checking the current amount through the Telephony app.

Can iPhone fees be paid in installments?
Yes. Since April 2026, the Egyptian Customs Authority and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority have offered an installment service for the fees due on phones brought in from abroad through valU, the first consumer finance company to provide this service.

I bought an iPhone outside Egypt, is there an exemption?
The exceptional exemption for a personal phone brought in from abroad ended on January 21, 2026. Egyptians residing abroad get a grace period of 120 days from the date the device is first activated in Egypt, while tourists get 90 days. The fees due must be paid before the grace period ends for the phone to keep working on mobile networks.

What happens if I do not pay the fees on my iPhone?
Once the grace period ends, the phone stops working on Egyptian mobile networks, although it can still be used over Wi-Fi. The device is reconnected to the networks after the payment is completed successfully.

Does this table include all iPhone models?
We keep updating the table to add new iPhone models as soon as their official data becomes available.

Do iPhone fees cover Apple Watch or iPad devices?
No. These fees apply to mobile phones only, and do not cover Apple Watch, iPad or any other Apple device that is not classified as a mobile phone.

I bought an iPhone inside Egypt, will I need to pay additional fees?
That depends on each individual device. At Ennap.com, we state the fee status of every phone on its product page before you complete the purchase, and you can check your phone's status using its IMEI number through the Telephony app if you would like to be sure.

Where can I find a full explanation of how mobile phone fees work?
If you would like to know how the system works, how to check a device using its IMEI number, the grace period, payment methods and all the other details, you can refer to the guide to mobile phone fees in Egypt.
